Sun Spreads Its Wings

Sun Entertainment Corporation (SEC), based in Nashville, TN owns the trademarks associated with the legendary Sun Records label that originated in Memphis, TN. Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Charlie Rich and many other famous recording artists got their start while recording in the 1950s, working with producer Sam Phillips.
With Sam, the sounds of Rock-and-roll, Country, Rockabilly, R&B, Blues and Gospel would all come together.
In October of last year, Sun Entertainment Corporation announced that they hired Paula Ebling, with Exposure Licensing Worldwide, as their licensing agent. Since the relationship began, licensees such as Taylor Specialties, Trinity Products, Vandor/Lyon Company, Lansky Brothers, Ata-Boy, Inc and Talking Presidents have all signed a license to develop a full line of products. Several other programs are currently being negotiated.
According to Ms. Ebling, Owner/Licensing Agent, “I am thrilled to work with Shelby Singleton and John Singleton as they continue to build brand awareness of the ‘original Sun Record label’ and the many assets associated with the company, including the approximate 8000 Master Recordings from the original music icons of the label, including Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Ike Turner, Howlin’ Wolf and many others.
